My Hobby/pastime

I am going to tell you about my hobby. My hobby is playing on a computer game called Runescape. I heard some of my friends talking about it and I thought it sounded fun. I started it about 2 weeks ago.

Runescape is a game set in the times when people used swords and bows and arrows to fight. It is a game where other people play at the same time as you and you can talk to them. You start Runescape by creating a person and then you decide what they look like. They can have different colours of hair, what their clothes look like, what colour of skin they have, you can make them look how ever you want. Then once you have made your character, you do a tutorial and then you're off. You can buy weapons, armour, shields and all sorts of things. You have to fight monsters like giant spiders, goblins, demons and many more.

Runescape involves thinking to help do quests or if you have money, to know what to do with it. You use the arrow keys to adjust the view of the game and you click to where you want your character to go.

The thing I like most about Runescape is getting to talk to your friends when you're not at school.

My character on Runescape has black spikey hair with black clothes. I have some iron armour like an iron shield, an iron helmet, an iron plate body and a sword. My sword is the 4th best metal in Runescape, mithril, which looks like a sort of dark blue.

You get different skills in Runescape like, attack, defence, strength, crafting, fire making, wood cutting and many more. When you go into battle you get to choose if you want to get your attack, defence, strength up. Crafting lets you make things that help you through the game like making pots for holding flour, or pie dishes to make pies. Crafting can also let you make jewellery like saphire rings, ruby necklaces and so much more.

When you log onto Runescape you choose a world from world 1 to about world 130. There are worlds for members or just people who play for free.

If you become a member you get lots more stuff like, you can get more skills like agility, hunting, slaying and farming, when you are a member you can make more stuff with crafting, with strength you can get short-cuts to get to places faster and with attack you can get better weapons.

All About me

My name is Thomas. I am eleven years of age and I attend Carronshore primary school. In my family there are four people including me. My big brother is called Andy, his hobbies are going out with his friends and in his spare time washing and polishing his car. His car is a porsche 968 in white. My mum is called Silvia, she works at Carronshore primary school, her hobbies are cooking and baking. My favourite thing my mum bakes are her chocolate chip mufffins. Most of my friends have tried my mum's muffins and think she is very good at baking. My dad is called Peter, he works at Carron Phoenix, and looks after one hundred and twenty computers. He also looks after the phone line. His hobby is computers. He is very good at working them so people phone him if they have a problem with their computer.

I have two pets. Both of them were hamsters and both of them were girls. My first hamster was called snowie because she was mostly white with some light brown. She used to love doing backflips over her exercise wheel. She died when she was two years old. My last hamster was called sooty because she was black and grey. She used to love climbing along the top of the cage and climbing to the top of the exercise wheel and running before falling off again. Sooty was just under two years of age before she died.

Yesterday in class we read some exctracts from Anne Frank's diary.

 I am going to tell you my scary experience.

My scary experience was on a trip with the Boy's Brigade. We went to a place with lots of things to do. The thing that scared me was called the high ropes. We had to climb up a ladder and then onto a big log and we had to walk along it. Then up another ladder and along another log. I found it really scary because I am a bit scared of hights.
